Today in class we were being asked in a series of about thirty questions about our personal strengtheses and weaknesses. Then we had to summarize and calculate our answers to find out the results of our experiment: what type of a leader are we? There were basically four types of leaders:
1- D- stands for diplomatic
2- S- stands for strength
3- I- stands for influence
4- C- stands for conscientious
My results showed that I was an influential leader, and even though I'm usually very skeptical about these sorts of experiments, I think that this one is right on. As an influential leader, you have to know how to work with others and, more importantly, listen to others. I do this all the time, wether in my work place, or even when I play music with friends. As a band, we have to coordinate the chord progerssions, the verses, and choruses, and I'm the one who steps up, but I listen to my friends' suggestions at the same time to improve the quality of the song. I really enjoyed this experiments' results, since professor also said that this type of leader is the best example of a true leader. I certainly don't think that I'm a perfect example of a true leader, but it's nice to know that according to this test, I have some leadership potential in me.
